Sunshine
Its been raining off and on for awhile now, bu the past couple of days have been beautiful, so the boys and I decided to take advantage of the great sunshine. After their afternoon nap yesterday we headed out to heritage park. There is a brick wall there that I love for taking pictures, so I thought maybe I could get some pics of the boys. I have a great Moms group and we met up with some of them the other day at the boys new favorite spot, the new play area at Westminster mall. They had fun playing with their buds!

Happy Valentine's Day!
We hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Valentine’s Day! Shawn was working on Valentines Day, so we celebrated on Wednesday night with a night out alone to Outback and then grocery shopping at Ralphs…romantic! 13 Months
The boys have been changing so much lately its been nothing short of incredible to watch. Here is a run down of their lives at big boy 13 month olds! The biggest change in the past month has been no more formula!!! We are so excited to no longer be spending $600 a month on formula alone. Brandon switched over within a week of his 1st birthday, and Brody took about a month. He had a milk protein...

Splish, Splash, fun in the bath!
The boys love their nightly bath. They get so excited when we take their clothes off them and start to run the bath water. They go into hyper crawling mode. Its so cute, and will be fun to tease them about when they are older. Here is some evidence!

Busy Bees
Life around here has been pretty busy. Shawn has been working a bunch, although he is home this week, yay! I have been busy with the new business, and the boys have been busy working on their one year molars.

Our 1st Birthday Party!
On January 3rd, we celebrated the boys 1st birthday with a little party at our house. It was a great, mellow, fun filled day. We had about 45 people in our small house, which was actually ok. We did a monkey themed party for our little monkeys (imagine that), and had a taco guy there to serve lunch. I spent the two nights before the party baking up a storm. (just call me Martha) I made the boys...
New Toys!
Guess who is getting some new toys? I’ll give you one hint…its not B&B….its me! I just bought a new (used) Camera and lens. I am so excited, I can’t wait until they get here. I have been stalking our mail carrier everyday. They will hopefully be here tomorrow!

Naps
I don’t know any adult or adolescent out there that doesn’t enjoy a good nap. Midmorning, early afternoon, or even a late afternoon siesta does the body good. I have tried numerous times to explain this to Brandon and Brody, but they continue to fight their naps on a daily basis. Why is it that babes have such a hard time napping and adults don’t? When does this change?
Our 1st Birthday!
We had such a great day with the boys on the 31st. We all woke up and cuddled for a little bit, (which we all love to do) then we made the boys some yummy birthday waffles. Happy 1st Birthday Brandon and Brody!
Happy 1st birthday to our beautiful boys! This past year has been the absolute best of our lives and its all because of you. You are both such sweet, cute, funny little men. This past year has been filled with so many firsts, it makes me sad to think you are slowly becoming little boys, but beyond excited for all that brings as well. We love you so much monkeys!

Our First Christmas!!

An Early Christmas with the Burns Family

The boys have never been good nappers. They only take 2 30 minute naps a day. But, they have slept like angels during the night for 12 hours since they were 5 months old, so I guess I can’t complain. Lately, Shawn has been letting them nap on him, and they love it! Especially Brandon. Yesterday he took a 2 hour nap with Shawn!

Happy 3rd Anniversary to Us!
Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary! We got engaged five years ago today in San Francisco. Shawn planned this amazing trip for us. We flew into SF, and then took a limo to our gorgeous hotel. Family Christmas Pictures

Last month, the boys and I went over to Steve and Dana’s for a little camera lesson. Thanksgiving Pictures (finally)
For Thanksgiving this year we went camping with my side of the family. We went to our families favorite spot, Jalama Beach. I’ve been going there since I was a baby, and this would be the boys 2nd trip. We took them for Easter when they were three months old. They were so little, and it ended up being a ton of work, this time was much more relaxing for everyone.

Huntington Harbor Christmas Boat Parade
Last night we were lucky enough to get invited over to the Charron’s house in HH to watch the boat parade. The Charron’s have such a beautiful house, and are always so sweet to our family. Lets Eat!
The boys are eating so much these days. Seriously, I don’t know what we are going to do when they are teenagers. Tonight for dinner alone, they each ate sweet potatoes, pastina, green beans, and a few ritz crackers. They also love water! We give them water in their sippy cups twice a day and they drink it all! Pluffies
Our boys are 100% addicted to their “Doggies.” Lee bought the boys two when they were born, and we began giving “Puffers” and “whiffers” to them at bedtime when they were around 4 months old. Its so cute they reach for them the second they hit their crib, and then snuggle with them all night long. I will have to take some pictures of them with their doggies...

So, I found these little halos at Ralphs (of all places) and knew I had to buy two. We went out front and put them on the boys just for fun. Brandon loves hats, so he was happy to sport his new accessory, Brody isn’t the biggest fan of hats, so he was not as enthusiastic. :) We already ordered our Christmas cards, otherwise, these would have so been on there!
