Sunshine

Its been raining off and on for awhile now, bu the past couple of days have been beautiful, so the boys and I decided to take advantage of the great sunshine. After their afternoon nap yesterday we headed out to heritage park. There is a brick wall there that I love for taking pictures, so I thought maybe I could get some pics of the boys. Ummm, note to self: two crawling babies + open wide space= me running all over the place trying to wrangle them together! I am so not in a rush for them to walk, it was work just trying to get them to stay in the same area. I ended up trying to bribe them to get some pictures with the all popular dum-dums, but that really didn’t even work. Here are the pictures that I got, they are big into giving us “bites” now, so I asked them for a bite and this is what I got!

I have a great Moms group and we met up with some of them the other day at the boys new favorite spot, the new play area at Westminster mall. They had fun playing with their buds!

Way Back Wednesday

I have fallen off the wagon with the way back Wednesday’s but I am trying to be a better blogger! Here are some pics of the boys off of my flickr. I think they were about 6 months in here. They look so different, look how short their hair was…and so serious!!! 

Happy Valentine’s Day!

We hope everyone had a great weekend and a great Valentine’s Day! Shawn was working on Valentines Day, so we celebrated on Wednesday night with a night out alone to Outback and then grocery shopping at Ralphs…romantic! Hey, once you have kids you learn to love whatever type of alone time you can get. We had a wonderful dinner, and I am so thankful for the gift card to Glen Ivy! Thanks babe! Then on Saturday, the boys and I spent the day just hanging out and lovin’ on each other. I made them heart shaped pancakes, then we went to our new favorite play area, and just hung the rest of the day. We know how blessed we are to have one another and two beautiful baby (soon to be big) boys. :) I finally got around to take some “real” pictures of the boys…here are our Angels! 13 Months

The boys have been changing so much lately its been nothing short of incredible to watch. Here is a run down of their lives at big boy 13 month olds! The biggest change in the past month has been no more formula!!! We are so excited to no longer be spending $600 a month on formula alone. Brandon switched over within a week of his 1st birthday, and Brody took about a month. He had a milk protein allergy when he was younger so the doctor wanted us to take it nice and slow. Both are doing great on it. 

Brody Craig 

Weight: About 25lbs

Nicknames: Bro Bro, Brody Bear, Tank

Loves: Drinking out of his straw cup only! He decided he was over bottle about a month ago. He loves to play peak-a-boo with his blanket, he can point to his head and nose when you ask him to, he know how to do the touchdown signal when we yell “touchdown!” He still loves the Wiggles and has even started shaking his tukey booty when his favorite song comes on. He loves any kind of game we play with him, open-shut them, itsy bitsy spider, and patty-cake. He loves to play catch and roll his ball around the house. He also loves to cuddle and give hugs, which we l-o-v-e. He is going to be such a sweet little guy. 

Dislikes: Getting his diaper changed which equals good times for me. He also throws full on tantrums if we take him out of his swing or car before he is ready to be done. talk about dramatic! Wonder where he gets that from? hmmmm…. He is also know to throw a few punches his brothers way when he tinks Mom isnt looking. The fighting has so already begun. 

Brandon Orlando

Weight: About 25lbs

Nicknames: Bran, BB, Monkey

Loves: Drinking water from his straw cup and milk from his bottles only! He has decided that he wants to stay a baby and hang on to the bottles. He loves to play games just like Brody, but peak-a-bo is his all time favorite. He puts his little hands over his eyes (well kinda, he usually misses but he is in the right region!) waits, and then has this little shocked look on his face. Melts my heart! He also loves to play ball and go for Wagon rides. He loves his new swing in the backyard and thinks Luke and Laci are the funniest dogs in the world. He still loves the Wiggles and dances along to the music. Bran is a happy little man,  he is very stubborn and know exactly what he wants! (again, not sure where he gets that from)

Dislikes: He has been having some major separation anxiety lately, so he freaks out if I even start to walk out of the room. This has been really hard, and we are working on it. Other than that, Bran is a happy little man. He gets mad when his brother bops him on the head, but I am sure there will be plenty of time for payback!

Splish, Splash, fun in the bath!

The boys love their nightly bath. They get so excited when we take their clothes off them and start to run the bath water. They go into hyper crawling mode. Its so cute, and will be fun to tease them about when they are older. Here is some evidence!

Busy Bees

Life around here has been pretty busy. Shawn has been working a bunch, although he is home this week, yay! I have been busy with the new business, and the boys have been busy working on their one year molars.

We have also been very impacted by the loss of my friend Erynn’s husband. Its really hit us hard, and has been difficult to understand why things like this happen to such amazing people. My heart aches for her and her sweet babes. If you are a person of faith, please say a few prayers for Erynn and her family tonight. 

Today we took the boys to a class at a little gym for children called “My Gym.” They really enjoyed it! Brody was having so much fun that he decided to throw a full out back arching tantrum when I tried to take him off the little ladder for circle time. Way to show off Brody! I really enjoyed it too, however, I am not sure I could take both boys to the class alone, so we’ll see what we end up doing. 

After My Gym we came home and Shawn installed the swings that Julie, Sage and Skye bought for the boys for their birthday. Brody was in heaven when he woke up and saw the swing. He swung for a hour, and even then didn’t want to get out! Brandon loved it too, and I know we will be spending countless hours in the backyard over the next few years. And since posts are more fun with pictures, here is one of Brody on his swing.
